This is an issue that can be resolved with heat load calculations, proper duct sizing, and, damper control to displace the correct amount of C.F.M. One true fact is that many of the older homes simply do not have enough return air. Having a limited air return will limit the amount of air your system can put out.

Example: Say you have five rooms, one needs to be 72F, another 74F, another 76F and so on. This can be achieved with temperature zoning control.
