Have your cooling system checked once a year prior to the cooling season. When your system is not running properly it can cost you money in wasted efficiency. There are many variables that can effect your cooling proficiency.
Dirty condensing coils, evaporator coils, return air filters & worn electrical contactors are just some of the things that can cause your cooling system to operate inefficiently.
When your cooling system is not running as it was designed, it will cost you more money and, you'll get less cooling than you should be. Imagine your car radiator. Your condensing coil has the same job, to transfer heat away.
If your condensing coil is dirty, it can cause your system pressure to go up thus pulling more amperage and running your compressor at higher temperatures and pressures than it was designed, leading to a system burn out.
This can cause thermal overload and premature failure. This is just one potential failure that will require major and costly repairs. Having your system inspected once a year can help avoid these headaches.
Change your air filters once a month. A good reminder to do this is when you receive your electric bill. |
